SJ Events was created by MD Sam Spillane in 2004. With valuable skills gained from extensive travel and event experience in the UK and overseas, the company was built on solid foundations and continues to develop in size and reputation.
SAM SPILLANE – MANAGING DIRECTOR
The
“SJ” of SJ Events, Sam is responsible for the leadership and development
of the business. Speaking 6 European languages, Sam has managed almost
every type of event imaginable with sound knowledge, an acute eye for
detail and boundless energy to guarantee its success. Sam loves people
and has a unique ability to develop longstanding relationships built
on a profound understanding of expectations and requirements. Married
to her ever-patient Golf Pro husband Danny Spillane she is also a proud
mother of two children, Ben and Emily, who share her passion for travel!
EMMA GUTTERIDGE – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Emma joined the company in June 2005 and from the outset was the Queen of
systems and procedures with an astonishing ability to multi-task at every level!
Emma has worked tirelessly on the operation and delivery of all types of events
over the years, exceeding expectations and concretising relationships with
key clients across many industries. An avid Liverpool FC supporter, Emma is
bubbly and excitable and loves a challenge!
ANNA MACKAY - EVENTS EXECUTIVE
Anna joined SJ Events in January 2011 adding a creative side to the business with her degree in Art and Design. With a real passion for travel, Anna has visited many different countries where she has experienced and learnt to appreciate the wide variety of cultures across the world. Anna is known for her friendly outgoing personality and really enjoys meeting new people.
HOLLY MURPHY – EVENTS EXECUTIVE
Holly started at SJ Events in June 2010 and loves her role as event executive and is keen to progress onwards and upwards with the company. Confident and reliable with a strong background in customer services and office administration, she provides invaluable support to the rest of the team both in the office and on events. Her bubbly and friendly personality is a huge asset and nothing is ever too much trouble for Holly.
GEORGINA WATSON – ACCOUNTS
George runs the all-important accounts department and offers a solid back office support to Sam and the rest of the team. She also operates alongside the team on some of our larger events and with a background in primary school teaching is extremely effective at keeping our clients in good order!!
